NANCY TUNICK

Nancy Tunick co-founded GrassRoots Promotion in 1996 with Teresa Johnston-Chance and serves as co-owner and managing partner where she presently consults artists and record label clients and manages a select artist roster, while directing GrassRoots Promotion’s operations. Nancy previously served as VP Promotion at Asylum Records, VFR Records, and Warner Bros Nashville. Nancy designed the promotion strategies for exceptional and historic single campaigns including Mark McGuinn’s “Mrs. Steven Rudy,” the first Top 10 single for a new artist on an independent label in more than 30 years; Randy Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses,” the first Christian single to top the Billboard Country airplay chart garnering both CMA and ACM song of the year honors, and “Lost In This Moment,” Big & Rich’s first #1 single, as well as assisting in the design of the strategy behind Blake Shelton’s progression from country artist to cultural icon and involved in the promotion of hits by Dierks Bentley, Brett Eldredge, Eli Young Band, Keith Urban, Sawyer Brown, Diamond Rio, Shenandoah, Alabama, and many more. Her more recent successes include promotion assistance in the launch of the careers of Mitchell Tenpenny and Tenille Arts as well as managing Canadian hitmaker Aaron Goodvin and consulting music icon Pat Boone on his latest releases. Nancy has been awarded Independent Promotion Person of the Year by Gavin Magazine, Music Row Magazine, and the Country Radio Broadcasters and Country Aircheck.

Nancy began her music career as an on-air personality and music director in various formats of radio that included Urban, Classical, Jazz and Country as well as hosting syndicated Country music radio and television shows following her graduation from Temple University. She currently serves as a mentor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and previously served for more than 20 years on the St. Jude Country Cares Advisory Board, consulted Hear The Music Live, a national non-profit that provides concert going experiences to children in residential foster care homes and orphanages, and served on the founding board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle TN. Nancy is also the Rabbi at Temple B’nai Israel in Florence, AL, serves as President of the Interfaith Council of the Shoals, and is a cantorial singer, composer, author, and motivational speaker.
